Our Products
Safety and comfort are vitally important to the ATS operation, which is why the company uses a unique floor tracking system with inter-locking safety equipment to secure wheelchairs and removable seating.
The innovative safety approach, which includes seating alternatives and restraint mechanisms, has been developed by NMI Safety Systems, a London-based business with an enviable reputation for designing such equipment. ATS has now been the Australian distributor of all NMI products for the past decade, some of which are illustrated below. It’s as easy as 1 - 2 - 3!
WHEELCHAIR TIE-DOWN SYSTEMS
NMI floor tracking has been designed to suit the new millennium wheelchair restraint systems, pictured below, ensuring all wheelchair occupants feel secure when in position.
All restraint systems are tested to ISO:9001:2000 and are cross-referenced to Australian standards.
Rear impact protection for wheelchairs and passenger
New Technology
NMI’s highly developed system of back seat and headrest support protects wheelchair users from injury normally sustained in either a head-on or rear impact crash. The wheelchair, electric or manual, locks into the seat structure so that the occupant has the same protection as a seated passenger. The seat itself - which can be firmly attached to the floor, tracking or fixed - can also be used normally when not adjusted as a wheelchair station. A number of variations to the basic design accommodate different needs. All units are equipped with inertia belts suitable for adults and children.
